CAGBA Terms of Service & Membership Agreement

Welcome to the Colored Angora Goat Breeders Association (CAGBA, we, our, us). By creating an account, becoming a member, or using cagba.org, you agree to the following Terms of Service and Membership Agreement. Please read this document carefully, as it outlines your rights and responsibilities as a CAGBA participant.

1. Purpose of CAGBA

CAGBA is a nonprofit association dedicated to the promotion, education, and advancement of Colored Angora Goats and the people who raise them. Membership supports our mission, community, and programs.

2. Membership Eligibility

By registering for an account or purchasing a membership:

  • You affirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete
  • You agree to maintain your account credentials securely
  • You are responsible for all activity carried out under your login

Membership levels may include Youth, Single, Couple, Lifetime, or other categories defined by CAGBA.

3. Membership Term and Renewal

Memberships are valid for one year unless otherwise stated. When your membership expires:

  • Your account will automatically be demoted to a free subscriber
  • You will lose access to member-only pages, tools, and services
  • Your account will remain in the system until you request removal

Members are responsible for renewing on time to maintain full access.

4. Payments and Refunds

All membership payments are processed through PayPal.

By purchasing a membership, you agree that:

  • PayPal may send CAGBA your name, email, payment amount, date, and transaction ID
  • CAGBA does not receive or store credit card or banking details
  • Membership fees are non-refundable, except in cases of duplicate payments or errors directly attributable to CAGBA

PayPal’s terms govern how your financial data is handled.

5. Animal Registration & Registry Records

CAGBA does not store or manage animal registration data.
Registration services for Colored Angora Goats are handled by an independent third-party registrar.

By registering an animal:

  • You agree that the registrar maintains permanent, non-deletable historical records
  • You acknowledge that CAGBA cannot modify or delete registry data
  • All questions about corrections, updates, or removals must be directed to the registrar

Your CAGBA website account is separate from registration services.

6. Member Conduct

As a CAGBA member or website user, you agree to:

  • Use the website in a lawful, respectful manner
  • Not share your login credentials or member-only content with others
  • Not post spam, abusive content, or false information
  • Follow CAGBA policies, bylaws, and board-approved procedures

Violations may result in suspension or termination of membership or account access.

7. Website Access and Availability

We strive to keep cagba.org functioning reliably; however:

  • Access may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or technical issues
  • CAGBA does not guarantee continuous uptime or error-free operation
  • Features and pages may be modified or discontinued at any time

Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of updates.

8. User Content

Any content you submit to the website (including comments, forum posts, or profile details):

  • Must not infringe upon others’ rights
  • May be displayed publicly depending on context (e.g., comments)
  • May be removed by CAGBA at its discretion

You retain ownership of your content but grant CAGBA permission to display it on the site as needed.

9. Data Privacy

Your use of cagba.org is subject to our Privacy Policy, which details what data is collected and how it is used. By using the website, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy.

10. Account Termination

You may request account deletion at any time. However:

  • CAGBA may retain data required for financial, legal, or administrative purposes
  • Termination of a website account does not affect animal registration records
  • CAGBA may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of this agreement

If your membership ends, your account becomes a free subscriber until you renew or request deletion.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law:

  • CAGBA is not liable for any losses resulting from website use, account issues, or third-party services
  • CAGBA does not guarantee the accuracy of user-submitted information or external content
  • Your use of the website is at your own risk

Nothing in this agreement waives protections granted to CAGBA as a nonprofit organization.

12. Changes to This Agreement

CAGBA may update these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be posted on the website. Continued use of the site or membership constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
